Here's How It Works

I don't show up with a generic playbook. I work alongside your team, figure out what's actually broken, and give you a clear plan to fix it. Then you decide if I stay to implement or if your team takes it from there.

Month One: Diagnose

The first month of the retainer. Clear answers, real work.

Week by week:

Week 1: I interview your team, sit in key meetings, review your tech stack and processes. I find out what's actually broken.

Weeks 2-3: You get weekly updates. No surprises. I dig deeper into the problems that matter most.

Week 4: You get a concise assessment with 3-5 high-impact fixes, prioritized, with next steps and effort for each.

What you receive:

  • 3-5 high-impact improvements, prioritized by business value
  • Concrete next steps to fix each one
  • Architecture review and recommendations
  • Hiring plan and talent growth roadmap
  • Where AI can accelerate or unlock value you're missing

Then You Decide

After month one, you have three options:

Continue the Retainer

I lead the fixes and keep executing. Your team learns along the way. Sprints with clear milestones, typically three to six months total.

One Defined Project

Pick the highest-impact fix and I'll deliver it against a fixed scope and end date.

Hand Off to Your Team

Take the findings and run with them. I'll answer questions for 30 days after handoff.

Why This Works

01

No Wasted Time

I find the real problems, not symptoms. Most companies are fixing the wrong things.

02

Low Risk

One month gets you clarity. You decide if I continue. No long-term commitment upfront.

03

Fast Results

Most companies start seeing improvements within weeks of implementation.

What It Costs

I don't bill hourly. We agree on scope and outcomes upfront, so you know the cost before we start.

Embedded retainer — two days a week
from $14,000 CAD/month
Embedded retainer — three days a week
$20,000 CAD/month
Board sessions, architecture reviews, deep dives
$3,000 CAD/day
Pre-LOI red-flag review
$9,000 CAD
Full technical due diligence
from $30,000 CAD
AI engineering programs, fixed-scope projects
quoted on scope

Retainers typically run three to six months. Rates are in Canadian dollars. USD quoted on request.

Compare it to the alternative, not to a salary. Hiring a full-time technology executive means a recruiting fee, an equity grant, a severance obligation, and a three-month ramp before anyone knows if it worked — a two-year bet made on a two-hour interview. I start in week one, and you can end it monthly.
