What services do you offer as a Technology & Operating Executive?
I offer executive strategy and hands-on implementation, team and delivery performance optimization, architecture and infrastructure review, AI integration and automation, and complete project delivery. Each engagement is customized based on your specific challenges. I embed with your team to fix what's broken, not just advise from the outside.
Do you work with early-stage startups?
I primarily work with growth-stage companies that have product-market fit and engineering teams of 5-50 people. If you're pre-product-market fit, you might be better served by a full-stack founding engineer rather than fractional executive leadership.
Can you help with AI integration?
Yes. I've spent the last two years building AI-native companies and integrating AI into products and operations. I help identify where AI creates real value versus hype, implement practical automation, and train teams to use AI tools effectively.
Do you work remotely or on-site?
Both. I'm based in Toronto and work with companies across North America. The initial assessment includes on-site time to embed with your team. Implementation work can be hybrid depending on what makes sense for your situation.
How do you charge for your services?
The 30-day assessment is a fixed fee. Implementation engagements are outcome-based, not hourly. We agree on specific deliverables and timelines upfront, so you know the cost before we start.
What if we just need advice, not implementation?
That's fine. After the assessment, you can take the recommendations and implement with your team. I'll provide 30 days of follow-up support to answer questions. Or we can structure ongoing advisory without hands-on implementation.
How is this different from hiring a consulting firm?
Consulting firms send junior people who write decks. I do the actual work—write code, fix architecture, sit in standups, build systems. You get 25 years of battle-tested experience directly, not filtered through account managers.
Can you help us hire a full-time CTO?
Yes. Part of the assessment includes evaluating whether you need a full-time CTO and what profile would work best. I can help define the role, interview candidates, and ensure a smooth transition.
